Brasserie
Experience the combination of delicious food and Weerter hospitality in our brasserie. Fortifying the inner man remains the central focus in the modern Antje van de Statie. We serve high quality food, delicately flavored and with French accents, in a casual, modern setting. In our brasserie, you will experience the spatial perception of a traditional high-ceiling station hall, with cast iron arches and station benches. The combination of traditional and modern interior design helps making our guests feel right at home. The brasserie with open kitchen features eighty seats, plus a unique Chef’s Table: you can sit right in the kitchen!
Just as in the former Antje station buffet, the central bar has the same copper shafts for draught beer, each with four taps. The four shafts, providing many different types of beer, supply all surrounding brasserie and function room facilities. Another reference to the railroad across the square comes from the man-sized station clock which, with its French inscription, is a reminder of the days Weert was a stop on the Iron Rhine, the line between Antwerp and Mönchengladbach. Guests are most welcome here, from the first to the last train. This means that our doors are open seven days a week, from 5:30 am in the morning to 1:00 am in the night. And guests don’t need to leave for home, because not only can they have their breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner here, they can stay the night as well.”
And last but not least: the best terrace of Weert, right at the Stationsplein (station square). As many as 250 seats towards the south. Enjoy, in the sunshine or covered under 90 m2 of awning!
